Isenberg Reacts: WWE NXT “Ruthless, Glorious and Hideo Itami”

Drew Gulak vs Hideo Itami

Drew starts off his offense by sending Itami into the ropes and then slaps him in the face. Hideo slapped him back and we really get rolling. Itami knees Gulak in the gut a few times, throws him into the ropes and connects once again with stiff knees. Gulak gets his foot up in the corner and then connects with a dropkick for a two count.

Hideo Itami fights of a submission hold and turns it into a submission of his own. Drew Gulak slaps Itami again and the rage from Itami hits fever pitch. Itami knocks out Gulak with a basement dropkick., followed by a Go To Sleep for the win.

It might not have been the longest, smoothest or best match ever, but I really enjoyed the emotion and escalation between both men. It started with disrespect, focused on hard attacking and ended with even more anger and disrespect. Hideo Itami can turn it up when he needs to with his emotions and raw energy. Tonight showcased that. 0 to 100 is what Hideo is capable of and you really got a reminder of what he can bring to the ring. Hell, this was not even a developed feud at all and Hideo still had me intrigued like it was.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
