Isenberg Reacts: WWE RAW “Braun Strowman Delivers in The Main Event”

Roman Reigns vs. Anderson and Gallows

The former WWE Champion wanted Braun Strowman, but got the RAW Tag Team Champions instead. A rematch of last week, Gallows really took it to Reigns. He hit multiple big boots, a side suplex and then slowed the pace with a submission hold. Roman Reigns battled back and would hit a Samoan Drop before the tag champs took over once again. Karl Anderson tries to finish him off with a Doom Boot, but Reigns slides through and hits a few superman punches. Roman goes to the outside, grabs a chair, and unloads on the champions. This ends the segment on WWE RAW.

Aggression is always Roman Reigns’ best friend. When he turns it up, the crowd reacts. I liked this segment and think it benefits both guys. The tag team does not need a win here, even though a DQ will do. Sorting out their challengers is more important right now. Roman Reigns needs to show off that he will do whatever it takes to deliver pain and carnage, so this works tonight. For next week, Roman and Braun need to step it up just a bit more. How will they do this?

Cruiserweight Action on WWE RAW

Brian Kendrick and Akira Tozawa’s match did not go off because Kendrick attacked him and choked him out before the bell. He then talks about how he needs to respect  Kendrick and everything he can do for him.

Later in the night, Neville and Jack Gallagher sign the contract for their match at WWE Fastlane. Gallagher asks him if he wants some tea and biscuits and that enrages the champion. He talks about how he is a character and not real, giving in to what the WWE Universe wants him to be. Gallagher attacks him and then headbutts him out of the ring. Neville ends up retreating.

I did not care much for the Kendrick and Tozawa storyline, especially since it seems that is all they want to do with Kendrick. We get it, you are a veteran. Just let the man compete and be who he really is, a stud in the ring and an even better heel when the story is not forced to him. I did enjoy Neville and Gallagher, showing much more anger and intensity in both men. Neville is thriving and he feels important as soon as his music hits. The repackaging of him has already surpassed anything he has done in the years prior to it. Good for him and great for the division.
