Dolph Ziggler comes out and talks about his accomplishments in WWE. He talks about how nobody has ever respected him and they respect a guy who has never had a match on Smackdown Live. Shinsuke Nakamura comes out, keeps it simple and wants to fight. Ziggler says not tonight and then Nakamura gets a few stiff shots in before Dolph heads out of the ring.

This was the best interaction between the both men so far. Dolph comes off as a disgruntled man who wants the crowd to kiss his feet. Nakamura does not need to say anything much, but his offense and strikes looked great. He looked ticked off, physically overpowering Dolph Ziggler and making sure that the fans know of his abilities. Give the crowd a little bit of a taste. His debut at WWE Backlash will be a great match, but he should be fast tracked to either the United States Championship or the World Championship. The guy cannot float in mid to lower mid card feuds before SummerSlam.

Tonight was a strong step forward to WWE Backlash and WWE is finally giving more time for both men to enhance this feud that seemingly started very random.

The Fashion Files and Ascension

Breezango entertain me. They are getting some creative freedom and are using it to bring us “The Fashion Files.” Also, London STILL loves Fandangoing in the crowd and with his music. After a brief backstage bit, Tyler Breeze and Fandango picked up a win over The Ascension. Brief, but beneficial, as Fandango hit a flying leg drop. After the match, The Uso’s came out to talk about what happens in 12 days. 12 days. 12 days.

This was a great promo from The Uso’s and made me want to see how this match unfolds at WWE Backlash. Will it be a “one off” match for Breezango? I think it will be, but I would like for it not to be. They can have some sustainability and both men are actually very talented in the ring. I want them to get actual time to fight in the ring. Breeze was WAY over in the past and Fandango faced Chris Jericho at WrestleMania. Give them a chance and then sprinkle in American Alpha and other tag teams. Make this division about more than 1 team, but not as many as 4-5 right now. Establish your heavy hitters and then filter in the other teams as they see fit. WWE RAW has a big advantage on Smackdown Live in the Tag Team Division. Take notes from Team Red.
