#3.) vs. Rick Rude – Summerslam 1990
A year after their epic encounter for the Intercontinental Championship, Warrior once again found himself feuding with Rick Rude in the summer of 1990. The circumstances were different this time. Warrior was the defending WWF Champion and had risen to the top, with the attempt at replacing Hulk Hogan as the face of WWF.
Warrior would face Rude inside a steel cage match, and while the cage itself didn’t look as good as it does now, Rude and Warrior used it well as a prop to tell their story. It was the right amount of time and Warrior would escape the cage after a solid battle to retain the WWF Championship.
