ROH: Two First Time Matches Announced For Upcoming Events

ROHWrestling.com has released information on a couple of first time ever bouts making their way to live events coming up next month. First, at an upcoming event on November 8th in Lowell, Massachusetts, you’ll see the first time ever meeting of Bullet Club member Adam Page and Tetsuya Naito.:

Adam “Hangman” Page has seen his stock continue to rise after competing in his first-ever G1 Climax tournament over the summer. After spending nearly a month in Japan competing on the grueling G1 tour, he then spent less than 24 hours at home before traveling to the UK, where he reached the finals of the International Cup, wrestling four matches in four days on the Honor Re-United Tour!

Page has tested himself in 2018 more than any year of his career and the victories speak for themselves. Whether it is Minoru Suzuki in the G1 or Joey Janela at All In, Page is quickly entering ROH World Championship conversation.

And he would become an instant contender for that title and perhaps the IWGP Heavyweight Championship with a win against a man that has headlined Wrestle Kingdom and has been a former IWGP Heavyweight Champion in his own right, Tetsuya Naito!

The leader of Los Ingobernables de Japon, Naito is in the prime of career and one of the most decorated and accomplished wrestlers in New Japan history, the only man to hold the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, Intercontinental Championship, and NEVER Openweight Championship! In addition, Naito has twice won the G1 Climax as well as the New Japan Cup. For Naito, the stakes are equally as high as a win over Page would put him in contention for ROH gold!

In addition to that, scheduled for the night before in Lewiston, Maine is the first-ever meeting of ring veteran Christopher Daniels and the fast-rising young talent of Juice Robinson. It will be interesting to see what happens when the former ROH World Champion takes on the former IWGP United States Champion.:

Juice Robinson returns to ROH for the first time since January 2017. In that time, Robinson has seen his career and star sky rocket, winning the prestigious IWGP United States Championship from Jay White after being eliminated in the first round of the tournament to crown the inaugural champion just a year prior. Robinson’s growth is apparent in his bouts, picking up victory after victory and rapidly becoming a must-watch star in New Japan!

In Lewiston, Robinson takes on the only man ever to hold all four ROH World Championships, Christopher Daniels! Daniels finds himself looking for victories that could earn him Championship opportunities. Daniels desperately needs Championship opportunities with his contract expiring following Final Battle and a win over Robinson would put him back in line for a singles championship opportunity!
