According to Mike Johnson of PW Insider, RAW Superstar Dean Ambrose was backstage during today’s WWE Crown Jewel pay-per-view. Ambrose apparently made the trek to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to be at his wife Renee Young’s side.
According to Johnson,
“Dean Ambrose was backstage at Crown Jewel but did not appear on camera. Ambrose did promotional interviews with the local media and accompanied his wife Renee Young, who worked on the broadcast team for the show.”
Renee Young, clad entirely in black, did announce during the Saudi Arabian pay-per-view.
Ambrose’s former Shield-mate and current rival Seth Rollins competed in the World Cup Tournament defeating Bobby Lashley in the first round; but, losing to Dolph Ziggler in the semifinals. Inevitably Shane McMahon would go on to win the World Cup Tournament in shocking fashion after unexpectedly replacing an injured Miz to defeat Ziggler in the finals.
