As of late, Matt Hardy has been teasing retirement. In addition to this, Matt Hardy has also said he hasn’t had his last match, and that maybe he would be a good General Manager for Monday Night Raw.

Recently, Matt Hardy spoke to Riju Dasgupta of Sportskeeda about a potential return to WWE, retirement, and more. Below are some highlights:

Matt Hardy On WWE’s Reaction To The Woken/Broken Universe:

They were big fans, once it all started. Because it was something very different. Nothing had been done on that level. Jericho was the one who facilitated all of that. He had a link to watch the Final Deletion before it came out. They were in Japan actually. The whole WWE locker room watched it.

Upon coming back and finally getting to the point where I could finally become ‘Woken’ Matt Hardy, The Ultimate Deletion, considering I got to do that in the main event slot on RAW was such an honour. Because it wasn’t Vince’s creation or WWE’s creation, it’s hard for them to fully get behind something like that.

Matt Hardy On Brother Jeff’s Feud With Randy Orton:

I felt like the whole deal where Randy was doing the whole thing with his ear, I felt like it was one of the most legitimate TV moments there’s been in a while where you really feel for the guy. It was a real simple and not a complicated thing, but I felt like it was really well done.

Matt Hardy On A Potential Retirement:

No, it’s not. I took time off to heal some nagging injuries and I’ll be back sooner rather than later. So, I’ve been doing this twenty-six years. I was just a little beat up. I was given a little time off. From when I’ve been back, for over a year and half, I was full time. I did everything.

Jeff was off with the surgery, so just had a little bit of time off. I think Bray needed a little time off. He’d had a car accident. So, I think it was just a little bit of time off for everyone. So, I think you’ll see an evolution of Bray Wyatt and an evolution of Matt Hardy.
