New Details Surface About NXT UK Deals, Four Promotions Reportedly Joining WWE Network

More details continue to surface about the tiered NXT UK deals that have been given to talent. The latest comes from our friends at Voices of Wrestling, who confirm the previously reported three tiers, and add in a bunch of new details.

The top tier are in contracts that are basically the same as United States NXT deals. They can wrestle in select matches for WWE-associated promotions, but they have to be in dark matches. The reported reasoning behind this is that both PROGRESS and ICW are going to join the WWE Network early next year, and that EVOLVE and wXw will follow suit.

The second tier can work matches that appear on video on demand services, but only for partner promotions. These wrestlers aren’t staples of the NXT UK brand, and aren’t going to be heavily featured in the upcoming NXT UK TakeOver event. Meanwhile, the third tier is the same as the previous deal, which allows them to work freely with a few exceptions (such as NJPW, Ring of Honor, etc.).

There’s even more information in the full report (including some information on WALTER’s WWE deal), so make sure to check it out.
