New Details Emerge On Enzo Amore Amid WWE Return Speculation — REPORT

A reunion between former WWE stars Enzo Amore and Big Cass may be getting closer to becoming a reality, as new reports suggest both men could be heading back to WWE.

Enzo and Cass first became popular together during their time in WWE NXT, with help from wrestling legend Dusty Rhodes. Their popularity grew after debuting on WWE’s main roster in 2016 on the RAW after WrestleMania 32. Their confrontation with The Dudley Boyz connected with fans.

Unfortunately, injuries and backstage problems eventually slowed their momentum down. Amore suffered a serious concussion during a match at Payback 2016, which temporarily stopped their push. Later, WWE split the duo apart when Cass turned on Amore. Their rivalry ended early after Cass suffered a real ACL injury.

After the split, Amore moved to WWE’s cruiserweight division, where he won the WWE Cruiserweight Championship twice. However, Enzo’s WWE career later became overshadowed by backstage issues and controversies. WWE released him in January 2018 after suspending him during a sexual assault investigation. The case was eventually dropped, but WWE reportedly let him go.

Enzo Amore believed to be WWE-bound

Now, according to Fightful Select, independent wrestling promoters have reportedly been told that Enzo Amore is no longer accepting many of the bookings he would normally take. Because of that, many believe he could soon return to WWE.

“Some promoters are being told that Enzo Amore is not taking bookings in the future that he would be regularly taking. The promoters are operating under the assumption that he’s headed to WWE,” the report stated.

The rumors come at an interesting time because Big Cass, currently known as Big Bill in AEW, is also reportedly nearing the end of his AEW/ROH contract. Previous reports claimed his deal could expire sometime in late May or early June.

The rumors grew even stronger recently after reports claimed Amore was spotted at the WWE Performance Center last week.
