Former RAW GM Baron Corbin was a guest on the Who Goes There Podcast where he talked about his love for the horror genre and his own encounters with the paranormal while filming Baron Corbin’s Haunted World show. Corbin also confirmed that the show was entirely his idea, “100% [my idea]. Whose idea do you think that was? I pitched it because we need stuff for the [WWE] Network all the time. I pitched this idea for kind of a ghost hunter’s show. We did two episodes and they both aired, but they’re getting such fantastic little reviews that they want to do more.” Corbin continued, “They want to do a live episode sometime, so that’ll be fun and if we can’t, I’m gonna do it on my Twitch streaming or my Mixer streaming.”

Corbin talked about why the show has resonated with fans and what it was like filming with fellow WWE Superstar Tyler Breeze, “Everybody, I think, can relate a little bit of just being scared in a house. That one in Seattle was crazy. It was fun with [Tyler] Breeze and our cameraman Dustin is a huge chicken, so every time something would happen or we’d make a noise they’d be gone.”

One incident was so terrifying that Corbin ran off in a panic, “When the toilet flushed on us in the one scene, I ran out of the bathroom. No one was near it. It was a manual flush toilet. It wasn’t a sensor. It was super weird.” Corbin was asked why people might be so afraid to be in ‘haunted’ environments and replied, “I think it’s a mix of instinctual stuff and also your mind just kind of plays tricks on you when you’re thinking about all those things. Did I really feel that? Did I really experience that? When you get into those places and you turn all the lights out – like in the light tower – I was sitting in that chair and was like, Do I feel something? Yep, I do. Alright, I’m out of here.”

Corbin may begin filming new episodes sooner rather than later, “We’re going to San Antonio soon and Houston soon and they have some good spots, so I’m trying to find the next.”

Corbin also talked about the famed Winchester Mystery House, serial killer H.H. Holmes, Summer of ‘84, and more. Readers may listen to the Who Goes There Podcast in its entirety below:
