The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Christopher Daniels has taken some independent wrestling dates, which might indicate that he may not be planning to sign a new contract with Ring Of Honor anytime soon. Daniels is also not being advertised for the company’s January dates, but there’s always a chance that he could still work as a producer while still working the indies as a wrestling talent.

The Observer is also reporting more details about B.J. Whitmer‘s ROH departure last week. Whitmer was working as a producer, and also helped with booking as well as being a point man for the Gorilla position (while sometimes assuming the role as Burnard The Business Bear). The report cited issues with Whitmer’s WWE guest coach appearance in September, and being asked to sign a non-compete as one reason for his departure. Pro Wrestling Sheet first reported Whitmer had been unhappy with management for months, and quit the company last week.

The Observer is expecting him to be headed to The Elite‘s AEW promotion for similar roles to his ROH duties. If both Daniels and Whitmer were to both make their exit from ROH, that would mean the company would be down two producers.
