Earlier on Monday Night RAW, Apollo Crews managed to earn an Intercontinental Championship shot by winning a battle royal. Unfortunately for the former Titus Worldwide member, he wasn’t quite able to capitalize on the opportunity. Instead, Dean Ambrose walked out of Detroit, Michigan as the defending Champ.

The two had a back-and-forth match, but ultimately Ambrose’s experience proved too much. Response to the match has been mixed, as the wrestlers lost some of the crowd’s attention during the bout. According to live reports, some even started chanting “CM Punk” during it.

It remains to be seen who Ambrose will face at the Royal Rumble.
