WWE Updates Classic Rumble Poster (Photo)

WWE has put a fun 2019 spin on the 1991 comic book style poster for the Royal Rumble. You can view the full poster below:

Has there ever been a more memorable WWE ad than the 1991 Royal Rumble poster?

Created by famed comic and fantasy artist Joe Jusko, the promo depicted Superstars like Hulk Hogan, “Macho Man” Randy Savage and Big Boss Man looking like a beefed-up version of a street gang from the ’70s cult classic “The Warriors.” The image left an indelible mark on a generation of WWE fans, including half of our staff, so we commissioned artist Steven Chorney, creator of memorable posters for Hollywood blockbusters like “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?”, “Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade” and “Deadpool,” to reimagine the scene for today’s roster.

Check out Chorney’s remarkable work below, and catch WWE Royal Rumble this Sunday, streaming live at 7 ET/4 PT  on WWE Network.
