Wrestling World Reacts To Pedro Morales’ Passing

The wrestling world is in mourning today over the passing of WWE’s first ever Triple Crown Champion, the legendary Pedro Morales. The WWE Hall of Famer passed away earlier today at the age of 76.

WWE issued a statement earlier today remembering the iconic wrestling legend for his classic bouts with Bruno Sammartino and Ivan Koloff, as well as his impressive 1,027 day championship reign. Wrestling luminaries have also taken to social media to say their goodbyes to the the late WWE Hall of Famer.

The Singh Brothers remembered some Pedro Morales wisdom passed on to them by WWE Hall of Famer Bret ‘Hitman’ Hart, “True talent always rises to the top. You can’t stop talent.”

The Iron Sheik gave Morales high praise as “one of the best ever,” and described Morales as an “excellent human being.”

Konnan remembered Morales as the “first Latino to hold a world heavyweight title.”

Legendary wrestling promoter Jerry Jarrett also offered his condolences:

Former WWE Superstars Bully Ray, Sean Waltman, Tommy Dreamer, and The Blue Meanie also took to Twitter to remember Morales.
