Vince McMahon Reportedly Pulls Plug On Women Main Eventing Tonight’s Elimination Chamber PPV

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reports that WWE has been indecisive when it comes to which match will close tonight’s main event pay-per-view. According to Sapp, wrestlers were earlier told that the Women’s Tag Team Elimination Chamber match would be closing tonight’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view; however, that has since changed.

The change has reportedly come from the very top of WWE, as WWE CEO Vince McMahon personally swapped the Women’s Elimination Chamber Match with the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match. McMahon reportedly believes the women’s match would not get the desired reaction needed to close the show.

Sapp adds, “This sounds very much like a “plans change” situation, and it is, but it was a minute-by-minute change, as there was no decision heading into the day on what match was going to go last, and the company had the benefit of having the ability to switch both matches around considering they’ll both in the Chamber structure.”

Stay with WrestleZone throughout the afternoon and evening for complete Elimination Chamber coverage.
