A Moment of Bliss:
Bliss says good riddance to Rousey leaving. Bliss would never disrespect the championship like that. If the McMahons want a reliable replacement for Rousey, they can call Bliss. Bliss’ guest tonight is Intercontinental Champion Finn Bálor. Bliss flirts with Bálor. Before she can tell Bálor what she will show him if he shows her his abs, Lio Rush interrupts. Rush says Bálor doesn’t deserve to be champion. Bobby Lashley should be champion. Rush says he isn’t leaving until he gets the title from Bálor. Bálor asks if he is out here to get a title shot to prove that he is better than Lashley. Bálor says he accepts the challenge. Rush says that’s not what he meant. Bliss asks Rush if he isn’t man enough to do it. Rush reluctantly accepts the match.
So far, Sting, Shawn Michaels, and Ricky Steamboat have all arrived for Ric Flair’s bday celebration.
Intercontinental Championship Match: Finn Bálor vs Lio Rush
Rush takes Bálor down with a ranna. Rush lands a series of kicks. Rush sets up a dive but Bálor cuts Rush off. Bálor tries a PK off the apron. Rush dropkicks Bálor in the knee. Rush hits two suicide dives. Rush sends Bálor back into the ring. Rush tries his frog splash. Bálor gets his knees up. Sling blade by Bálor. Rush dropkicks Bálor in the knee again. Bálor tries the 1916 but his knee gives out. Rush rolls up Bálor. Bálor kicks out. Rush lands another head kick. Bálor kicks out again. Rush misses a second rope moonsault. Bálor destroys Rush with a lariat. Bálor slowly makes his way up top. Rush cuts Bálor off. Rush gets a near fall after ranna reversal off the top. Rush kicks Bálor in the leg over and over again. Rush tries a springboard stunner but Bálor catches Rush and hits a nasty 1916. Bálor hits the Coup de Grâs for the win.
