Lloyd Anoaʻi Talks His WWE Run, How Roman Reigns’ First Leukemia Battle Kept Him From NFL

Roman Reigns’ family is a very extended one, with many of his family members having spent time in the wrestling world, or in the WWE in some regards. One of those, Lloyd Anoaʻi, recently spent WrestleMania Weekend in New York City, and discussed Reigns’ recent health scare.

Speaking to The Hannibal TV, Anoaʻi was asked about his cousin and how things have been going, and  “It was a shock when he first had it, years ago, when he got drafted into the NFL, that’s where they first found out he had leukemia,” he said. “So, it stopped him from going into the NFL, and when it came back, it was a shock to all of us, because he didn’t tell us all until he went on live TV.”

Despite the scare, Anoaʻi said that he and his family are in a great place, and that he had been speaking to Reigns, noting that their family feels very blessed to have had everything work out. “I’m glad he’s in remission right now…he looks good, and we’re just blessed.”
