Big E Makes WWE In-Ring Return, Helps New Day Win 6-Man Tag

Today marked the return of Big E to in-ring action, and the crowd at SmackDown Live was eagerly anticipating it. As all three came out prior to their match against Kevin Owens, Dolph Ziggler, and Sami Zayn, the trio once again received a huge ovation from the crowd.

With Big E now back, Xavier Woods promised to end their match tonight very quickly, before Kofi took the mic to continue throwing shots at Dolph Ziggler. While discussing how he would defeat Ziggler at WWE Stomping Grounds, Ziggler made his way out to the ring, saying that the only reason that Kingston is still WWE Champion is that Xavier Woods interfered with the match.

After trading more insults, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens made their way outside, with Zayn once again grabbing the mic and continuing to berate the New Day and how poorly he’s treated by the WWE. From there, Woods and Kingston responded by talking about how hard Kingston has worked and how he’ll always be the WWE universes champion.

During the match itself, the two groups clearly had no love lost between them, as they took every opportunity they could to land a shot. Xavier Woods and Kevin Owens specifically were very happy to take shots at every single superstar they could, which is a great indicator of just how much disdain there is between these superstars. While the crowd was very into the match to start, things got much louder when Big E finally made his way to the ring, and the New Day seemed to wake up from there, as Kofi Kingston and Big E combined to take down all three of their competitors for the win.
