Mark Henry on Powerlifting, Finding His Own Replacement

Josiah Williams talked with Mark Henry in Tampa, FL backstage at RAW Reunion about his pre-WWE career and what he’s done to give back to the business. Henry stated that his powerlifting career (and his legitimate claim to being the Strongest Man in the World) gave him a reputation that followed him into WWE, and he took pride in bringing that legitimacy to the sport.

Josiah then mentioned talent like Bianca Belair and Braun Strowman, both of which Mark helped bring into wrestling. Mark stated that Bianca “makes her smile.” “She was very flamboyant in the fitness scene and I knew she was meant for pro wrestling.” Mark also knew that Braun would be a great fit for in-ring action. “He’s got the personality for it, obviously the build, the charisma for it. I know that I don’t plan on wrestling anytime soon. I just wanted to have someone come in and fill the void.”
