Roman Reigns stood tall last night at Survivor Series as he, Shorty G, Mustafa Ali and Braun Strowman all worked at pulling in the win for “Team Blue.” Roman was caught up with backstage at The All State Arena post-match and was sure to not give any credit to SmackDown’s fifth member, Baron Corbin as he almost jeopardized the brands shot at victory.
“To be honest, I want to thank everybody except for Corbin. I mean, literally we could have had anybody and we would have been well on our way. He almost sabotaged the whole thing, thank God I pulled the trigger and knocked his jaw loose, speared him, Tommaso covered him, we got rid of him and everything was good from there…”
Roman may have been the lone survivor for Team SmackDown, but he still credits his team for the win and he talks as to why a win like this it so significant to his WWE past, present and future.
“It’s a complete team win outside of ‘Captain Dumbass’ Corbin so yeah, just a great night. It’s awesome to go out there and Survivor Series, this is where The Shield debuted. It just feels like such a powerful PPV for us and for me to come out and win my second Survivor Series match of my career, it just feels great. It feels like I have the momentum on my side, hopefully I can keep this thing going. Just keep this thing going, keep the enthusiasm high and just take this thing all the way to ‘Mania.”
