Pacific Northwest Wrestling Star Rip Oliver Passes Away At The Age Of 67

The wrestling world lost another one of “the boys” as Rip Oliver has passed away today at the age of 67. Oliver was entered into hospice care in February due to end-stage heart failure and Cauliflower Alley Club broke the tragic news on their Facebook earlier today:

“Pacific Northwest legendary wrestler Rip Oliver went to be with the Lord today at 4 p.m (Eastern Standard Time). May the good Lord comfort his widow and three children, family & close friends. Rip is no longer suffering but we are deeply saddened by this news‬”

Oliver was mostly well-known for his work with Pacific Northwest Wrestling, holding the promotion’s Heavyweight Title on 12 separate occasions. Rip was known to be linked to PNW’s top star Buddy Rose and shared quite the alliance (and eventual rivalry) with Playboy throughout his run. Rip also competed in WWF briefly as a jobber beginning in 1987, even wrestling Ultimate Warrior for the Intercontinental Championship under the alias of Super Ninja on an episode of WWF Saturday Night Main Event.

We here at WrestleZone would like to extend our deepest condolences, thoughts and prayers to Oliver’s friends, family and fans at this time.
