Backstage, Miz and Morrison find out that the person who gets the pinfall tonight will be the sole Universal Champion. Otis walks in and says no matter who wins he may cash in tonight. Rose says if either of them wins they won’t be champion for very long.
RAW Women’s Championship Match: Asuka (c) vs. Nia Jax
Jax charges Asuka. Asuka avoids her and lands multiple leg kicks. Asuka almost locks in a sleeper. Jax escapes. Asuka attempts an armbar but Jax puts on the breaks. Jax decks Asuka. Jax charges at Asuka. Asuka spins Jax into an octopus hold. Jax eventually swings Asuka off. Jax floors Asuka with a clothesline. Asuka tries another armbar. Jax runs over Asuka. Jax splashes Asuka in the corner. Jax body slams Asuka. Asuka kicks out. Jax crushes Asuka with a spinebuster. Asuka kicks out at two. Jax puts Asuka in a cobra clutch. Asuka struggles to her feet. Asuka puts Jax in a guillotine. Jax reverses the hold with a jackhammer. Asuka kicks out.
Asuka fires up and hits a shining wizard for a near fall. Jac whips Asuka into the corner. Asuka pops up to the second rope and hits a dropkick. Basement hip attack for a near fall by Asuka. Asuka lands a few head kicks. Jax responds with a sit-out powerbomb. Asuka manages to get her shoulder up to break the count. Asuka locks in an armbar using the ropes. Asuka pulls Jax out of the ring. Asuka locks Jax in a flying armbar. Jax gets to her feet and slams Asuka into the barricade. Both women are counted out.
Asuka Retains
After the match, Asuka dives off the apron and lands a hip attack.
