Scorpio Sky Dreams To Be Managed By Bret Hart ‘For At Least One Match’ (Exclusive)

Scorpio Sky wouldn’t be in professional wrestling if it wasn’t for Bret Hart. In an exclusive interview with Dominic DeAngelo of WrestleZone, Sky talked about how it was the Hitman he grew up being an admirer of and on his recent AEW Dark run, one-third of SCU patterned his mindset after The Best There Was, Is & Ever Will Be.

“I was a huge Bret Hart fan growing up and I kinda looked back at Bret Hart in his run where on Superstars he might wrestle Isaac Yankem one week and the 1-2-3 Kid the next and he always had consistent good matches and that was kind of my goal for this run on Dark. I was like, ‘I don’t care who they put in with me, I’m going to have a very competitive, good match that people can look at and have fun and say ‘that was entertaining.'”

Sky was asked about being on the same show with Bret back when the legend unveiled the AEW World Title.

“It was huge. As long as I had been in the business, I’ve never been on the same show as Bret Hart and anyone that knows me knows that one of the reasons that I’m in the wrestling business is Bret Hart. I was just as big of a fan growing up as you possibily could be. Even people that didn’t know about wrestling, ‘Oh, he loves Bret Hart, he loves this guy Bret Hart I’ve never heard of, but he loves him’ so to be able to be on the same show with him was cool, I got to take a picture with him.”

Scorpio then talks about his love for the Rocky movies and the two follow-ups with Creed and Creed 2,  and that dynamic between Sylvester Stallone and Michael B. Jordan in a mentor to pupil role got his wrestling gears turning.

“My dream is I want Bret Hart to manage me for at least one match in the future. ‘Unc’ Bret Hart, we would be Creed and Rocky of pro wrestling. It’d be me and Bret Hart.”
