Serena Deeb Retains NWA Women’s Title, Gets Challenged By Thunder Rosa

Tonight’s pre-show to All Elite Wrestling’s Full Gear started with a big match, as Serena Deeb took down Allysin Kay to retain her hold on the AEW Women’s Championship. After the match, though,  Deeb was visited by Thunder Rosa, who very clearly wanted to prove to Deeb she was ready for another title shot.

Deeb ended things by taking down Kay with a dragon screw in the ropes, and then landed a pancake piledriver. Although Kay had her feet on the ropes to stop things, Deeb then adjusted and locked in the Serenity Lock onto Kay for the win. After the match, Thunder Rosa came down the ramp, where she got into the ring and began pointing at the belt, clearly indicating to Deeb that she was looking for another shot at the title.

For more on how the match ended, check out below:

Serena fires off with a flurry of kicks before giving AK a stomp on the ground. She hits a swinging neckbreaker and then follows up with a hanging neckbreaker for two. Serena goes for a pilledriver and AK hits an Alabama Slam for an arrogant cover. Two count. She lifts her up in a Canadian backbreaker and drops down. AK goes for her AK-47 but Serena rolls out. Serena then catches AK with a dragon screw in the ropes and hits a pancake piledriver.   Cover, but AK has her foot on the ropes. Serena adjusts and locks in her Serenity Lock for the submission win.
