Britt Baker Says ‘Reba’ Deserves Credit For Her Success: ‘She Really Is The Peanut Butter To My Jelly’

It might not seem like it most of the time, but Britt Baker attributes a lot of her recent success to having ‘Reba’ at her side.

Baker spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard ahead of the “St. Patrick’s Day Slam” edition of AEW Dynamite and talked about her recent success in the company. While her character might not act like it on television, Baker says Rebel deserves all of the credit for being an integral part of why her ‘Role Model’ character has caught on.

Rebel is not only an accomplished performer, but some fans new to her work might be surprise to learn she is a trained wrestler as well, working for TNA (IMPACT) Wrestling from 2013 to 2016 as well as OVW. Joking that she’s working on correcting Rebel’s infectious laugh, Baker said now the world is showing the same appreciation for ‘Reba’ that she has for her.

“All the credit. She, honestly, she really is the peanut butter to my jelly. Reba, I’ve said it 100 times, she’s one of the most passionate females, when it comes to professional wrestling. She loves it. She eats, breathes and sleeps it just as much as I do, and this is much more than a deserved opportunity for her,” Baker said, “because she should have been the star of TV for a long time now.”

“She’s been an entertainer forever. She was a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, and my favorite of her claim to fame is she’s the lead dancer in the ‘Honky Tonk Badonkadonk’ country music video. I tell everybody this,” Baker said, “but she’s just been entertaining forever but I just feel like now the world is appreciating her, and of course we all have me to thank because it’s my doing, but we gotta love Reba.”
