LFI Suspended For Entire Month, World Tag Title Match Announced For ROH Wrestling The Weekend of May 22

LFI Suspended For Entire Month

In this week’s edition of “The Eck’s Files,” Ring of Honor writer Kevin Eck revealed that all four members of La Faccion Ingobernable have been suspended for the month of May. The group, which consists of ROH World Champion RUSH, Dragon Lee, Kenny King and Bestia del Ring, prides itself on wreaking havoc in ROH, and the company’s Board of Directors took a firm stance on the stable’s defining lawlessness.

“According to a person with direct knowledge of the situation, the board felt it had to take this measure because repeated fines did not deter LFI’s behavior, which included a heinous attack on former member, Amy Rose, at the 19th Anniversary show in March, and continuous disregard for the rules — including the use of weapons — in their matches,” wrote Eck.

LFI’s matches typically end in violent, chaotic brawls, a pattern that has clearly concerned the ROH Board of Directors. Time will tell if this suspenion makes a difference on LFI’s behavior.

World Tag Title Match Announced For ROH Wrestling The Weekend of May 22

Mike Bennett and Matt Taven, also known as The OGK, will challenge for the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championship later this month.

Ring of Honor has announced that the duo has earned a shot at the gold, and they’ll face the champions, Tracy Williams and Rhett Titus the weekend of May 22 on ROH Wrestling. Williams and Titus, also known as The Foundation, won the titles at ROH 19th Anniversary. The OGK has slowly risen up the rankings since Bennett returned to ROH last fall, as the duo spent several months engaged in a heated feud with Vincent and The Righteous. Bennett and Taven previously held the titles during Bennett’s first run with the company.
