Rok-C: A Match With Angelina Love Is Coming Because I Will Go Far In The ROH Women’s Title Tournament

Now that she has a Ticket to Gold, Rok-C hopes that she’ll have a successful run in the ROH Women’s Title Tournament.

In a recent interview with WrestleZone, “The Prodigy” previewed a potential match with Angelina Love, a former champion who has already earned a first-round bye in the tournament when she defeated broadcaster Quinn McKay.

“Being ‘The Prodigy,’ I want to come after anyone, anywhere, so definitely Angelina Love is like at the top of my list because of course, she is like a Ring of Honor legend,” said Rok-C.”So to be able to wrestle her and to have that story of, like she is the veteran and I’m the newbie, and as we saw with Quinn McKay, she doesn’t really like newbies.

“But yeah definitely looking forward to that. I really, really have faith that I will go very far in the tournament. So I definitely feel like a match with Angelina Love is coming.”

Rok-C also shared her thoughts on two other competitors who have clinched a spot in the bracket, Miranda Alize and Trish Adora. Rok-C explained that she’s familiar with Alize because they were both trained by Booker T, and she described why she wants to face Adora.

“I’ve had a couple of matches with [Alize], I think I’ve had maybe two or three, so I am pretty familiar with her,” said Rok-C. “But I’ve always wanted to wrestle Trish Adora. I’ve seen her work on the independent scene, and I saw her wrestle at a show in Texas that I was on. And I thought she was super awesome, so to be able to see her on Ring of Honor, too is pretty cool. So hopefully I get that matchup.”

Finally, Rok-C named Paige as one of her influences in the wrestling business, as she noted how her origin story is comparable to the former WWE Divas Champion’s journey.

“Paige was definitely one of them, especially because we kind of have the same story, in a way,” said Rok-C. “She started off when she was really young. And I was inspired by that. So kind of what I wanted to do was, I tried to remember, what was I inspired by? And then once I remembered, I was like okay, I’m gonna inspire people in this way. But yeah, she was definitely a big part of that.”

Rok-C is in action against Laynie Luck on this week’s episode of ROH Women’s Division Wednesday.
