In-Ring Segment: William Regal and Samoa Joe
Regal says after last week he knows things will not go well when Johnny Gargano and Karrion Kross meet tonight, so they need to address this now. Regal requests Kross and Gargano join them in the ring. Regal says things between them need to be settled. Gargano says the first thing they need to get out of the way is that Kross sucks. Regal announces Kross will defend the NXT Championship against Gargano next week. Samoa Joe will be the special guest referee. Gargano says Kross is terrified of getting in the ring with him. Kross says this is real life, not a video game. Kross is going to destroy Gargano. Kross makes a joke about Gargano wearing his wife’s pants. Gargano says it’s funny Kross mentioned his wife’s pants because Kross couldn’t lace her boots. Kross says why wait till next week? Joe steps in front of Kross.
Million Dollar Championship Match: LA Knight (c) vs. Cameron Grimes (If Grimes loses, he Must Become Knight’s Butler)
Grimes boots Knight out of the ring as soon as the bell rings. Grimes hits a PK. Grimes sends Knight back into the ring and hits a cross body off the top for a near fall. Knight tries a slingshot shoulder block but Grimes meets him midair with a Superman punch. Standing Moonsault by Grimes. Knight kicks out. Grimes runs right into a powerslam by Knight. Grimes kicks out. After the break, Grimes surprises Knight with his patented flipping crossbody. Knight and Grimes trade shots.
Grimes lands a flurry of strikes. Knight hits a burning hammer. Grimes kicks out. Knight hits a superplex. Grimes kicks out. Knight brings the title into the ring. The referee takes the title. Grimes rolls up Knight but the referee is out of position. Knight reverses it with a hand full of tights. Grimes kicks out. Grimes hits a poison ranna for a near fall. Knight rolls out of the ring to avoid the Cave In. Knight trips Grimes on the apron. Knight DDTs Grimes out on the floor. Grimes is almost counted out. Knight hits his finish for the win.
