Carmelo Hayes is still the NXT North American Champion.
In the fourth bout of WWE NXT Great American Bash, Carmelo Hayes and Grayson Waller clashed for the first time over the North American Championship. The match saw Wes Lee run out to attack Trick Williams, who beat him earlier in the night. The distraction allowed Hayes to hit his finisher on Waller for the pinfall victory.

Hayes rolls out of the ring to avoid getting pinned. Wes Lee runs down to the ring and attacks Trick Williams. Waller tries to Rolling Stunner but Hayes counters with a lung blower. Hayes hits Nothing by Net for the win.
Hayes is in the midst of his second reign as North American Champion after defeating Cameron Grimes a month ago at NXT In Your House. Waller previously contended for the title in a ladder match at NXT Stand & Deliver.
