Report: NXT Star Pete Dunne Re-Signs Long-Term Deal With WWE

NXT star Pete Dunne has reportedly signed a long-term contract with WWE, so he’s set to remain with the company for a while.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports that, after Dunne signed a temporary extension this past July, he has now inked a three-year deal that will keep with WWE through the summer of 2024.

A previous report noted that Dunne got a contract offer at the end of August; Ross Sapp now notes that Triple H himself offered Dunne the deal that he eventually signed.

Dunne is a former NXT UK Champion, and he also won the NXT Tag Team Championship with Matt Riddle. Recently, he has been competing in the main event scene of NXT; he will compete for the vacant NXT Championship on the September 14 episode.

Dunne is the latest in a line of Superstars who have had news about their deals coming up go public;  this group includes Adam Cole, who left for AEW, and Johnny Gargano (December 2021) and Kevin Owens (January 2022).
