Franky Monet has been released by WWE.

Franky Monet, aka Taya Valkyrie was released by WWE on Thursday. Monet’s release was first reported by Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp. According to Sapp, budget cuts were cited as the reason for the releases in an email sent to talent by John Laurinaitis.

Monet (real name Kira Magnin-Forster) signed a contract with WWE in February 2021 and reported to the WWE Performance Center that same month. Billed under her new ring name, Monet’s debut was first teased during a promo aired during NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. She made her on-air debut on the April 13 episode of NXT, and made her in-ring debut on May 25. Most recently, Monet was aligned with the Robert Stone Brand.

Franky Monet’s final match for NXT came on the October 5 episode, a loss to Cora Jade.

Monet posted the following on Twitter, acknowledging the news as well as hinting that she will be returning to her “Taya Valkyrie” moniker.

“Once I’ve gathered myself from feeling all levels of disappointment, sadness, anger and also uncontrollable laughter, I’ll have a statement. But for now…. 30 days. #WERALOCA”
