Toni Storm pulled off a major upset on the December 17 episode of WWE SmackDown when she pinned SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair in a tag team bout. The two women have been feuding in recent weeks, as they’ve taken turns pieing each other in the face. Storm picked up a win over “The Queen” via disqualification last Friday. The following week, Storm got another crack at Flair, and she made the most of it.
In a tag team bout where she teamed up with Sasha Banks, Storm pinned Flair, who was partnered up with Shotzi.

Later in the show, WWE announced that Flair will defend her title against Storm on the Christmas Eve edition of SmackDown. Storm is a former NXT UK Women’s Champion, but she hasn’t won a title on the main roster yet; she joined the blue brand this past July.
A 12 Days of Christmas Gauntlet Match has also been announced for the show.
