Dylan Postl (Swoggle) Criticizes Peter Dinklage’s Remarks About Using Dwarfs In Live-Action ‘Snow White’

Dylan Postl is not a fan of Peter Dinklage’s recent comments.

Former WWE star Dylan Postl (Hornswoggle) took umbrage with actor Peter Dinklage’s recent comments over the portrayal of the seven dwarfs in Disney’s live-action remake of Snow White.

“Take a step back and look at what you’re doing there. It makes no sense to me,” Dinklage said on the WTF With Marc Maron Podcast of Disney’s remake. “You’re progressive in one way and you’re still making that f-cking backward story about seven dwarfs living in a cave together, what the f-ck are you doing, man?”

Disney responded to Dinklage’s remarks and said (via The Hollywood Reporter) that the studio was “taking a different approach with these seven characters and have been consulting with members of the dwarfism community.” The studio said they would share more as the film neared production, but Postl recently spoke with TMZ to respond to Dinklage and said that the actor is taking roles away from the dwarf community by making those remarks.

“Here’s my issue with everything Peter Dinklage just said with this whole situation about the Snow White remake and the seven dwarfs. It’s called Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs, it’s not Snow White and the seven normal-sized humans, like every other movie. This is a fairy tale… a remake of a fairy tale, and this is also giving seven dwarves, people, real-life people, actors a chance to be in a role fit for them, literally fit for them.

“When The Greatest Showman came out, I couldn’t be the main lead, I couldn’t be PT Barnum, I could’ve been one of the side acts because that role was made for me. And the issue at hand is by saying this, he’s doing something worse for the dwarf and the little people community. He’s trying to take roles away. It really blows my mind, the whole woke thing, you’re going too far, in my opinion. It’s just too far, too much. It’s trying to change something that doesn’t need to be changed. There’s nothing wrong with how dwarves were portrayed.”

Postl went on to explain that the dwarfs in the Snow White story were portrayed in a good light and they had individual personalities, a stark contrast from some of the things Dinklage said. Postl went on to say that Dinklage was fine playing his respective roles in Elf and Game Of Thrones but questioned why he was critical of the new Disney film. Postl closed by saying he would gladly take one of those roles and had plenty of friends in the dwarf community that would, and that was the real issue at hand.
