Cain Velasquez Booked On Attempted Murder Charge

Cain Velasquez was arrested after an alleged shooting.

As first reported by NBC Bay Area, Cain Velasquez was involved in a shooting incident on Monday, February 28 that saw one man go to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

It was later reported by TMZ that Cain Velasquez was arrested and booked on an attempted murder charge. As of this writing, police have yet to release any circumstances or motives. the shooting was reported around 3:14 p.m. Pacific time. Jail records show Velasquez is still in custody as of Tuesday morning and a court date set for this Wednesday

Cain Velasquez was briefly a part of WWE losing to Brock Lesnar in quick fashion at the 2019 Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia. He competed in tag team matches alongside Rey Mysterio after that but was quietly released amid the global pandemic. He would later continue to wrestle for AAA, last competing at Triplemania Regia II this past December.
