Danhausen and Ricky Starks got a (hometown) hero’s welcome in New Orleans on Wednesday night.
The Blackpool Combat Club was in the ring for a post-show segment that was supposed to see a New Orleans homecoming of sorts for Ricky Starks.
Jon Moxley called for the “hometown guy” to come to the ring, but Danhausen unexpectedly came to the ring instead. After Danhausen introduced himself (and Moxley made Wheeler Yuta do push-ups for his former friend Danhausen’s interruption) he tried to take William Regal’s suit and then cursed him when Regal wouldn’t give it up. Bryan Danielson got Danhausen to un-curse Regal, then they tried to get the hometown guy to come to the ring again.
HOOK came to the stage, then immediately decided it wasn’t worth his time and went backstage. Finally, Ricky Starks came to the ring and said he’d grown up eight minutes from the arena, but The Acclaimed cut him off before he could say anything else.
The Acclaimed voiced their displeasure with being left off of the show despite having a highly-rated segment the prior week, but BCC and Ricky Starks attacked them and sent them packing to end the segment.
