Brian Cage Wants To Work Both AEW And Ring of Honor Shows

Brian Cage wants to wrestle everyone and everywhere.

Cage hasn’t appeared on AEW television since October 2021 but made his on-screen return at ROH: Supercard of Honor, earlier this month, where he was the mystery opponent for Ninja Mack. At the show, he joined forces with Tully Blanchard as part of Tully Blanchard Enterprises alongside Kaun and Toa Liona.

During a recent appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet and delved into his interest in working for both AEW as well as Ring of Honor now that Tony Khan has purchased the latter.

“Absolutely. I feel you’re correct. I know there’s a lot of talk and rumors about Ring of Honor and what’s next and what’s going to happen, there’s stuff I know and there’s a lot of stuff that I don’t know. There’s a lot of stuff a lot of people don’t know. It does look like we’ll hopefully be doing both at the same time and I’ll be part of it. I’ve never been one to turn down work.”

When asked about his potential intention to contend for the ROH World Championship, “The Machine” made it clear that the world titles in ROH and AEW are on his mind because all wrestlers should aspire to be the champion. But he emphasized his focus on having outstanding matches.

“Realistically, I always say if you’re not in this business to be the champion, to be number one, then I don’t know what you’re doing,” said Cage. “But right now, I think more than any title, I just want to get back in there and just have amazing matches with a lot of amazing talent that I haven’t worked. I think there was like 20 names that I wrote down that I want to work with, and I’ve worked with one of them. So there’s a plethora of names.

“The one match that I asked for, his name wasn’t wrote down yet, the one match I kept asking for just because I wanted a match, was Matt Sydal. And they gave that on Dynamite. Then I got to work with Page, which was unexpected, and I loved the match that we had at Double or Nothing. And those are the only two that I feel are like Brian Cage matches. That’s what I want and I feel like that’s what I was getting everywhere else and being able to showcase what I could do.”

Cage named several AEW stars, including Kenny Omega, PAC, the Lucha Brothers, Wardlow, Keith Lee, and Miro, as some of the people he wants to face,
