Steve Austin Feels Great After Match With Kevin Owens, Would Return For WrestleMania 39 If WWE Asked

Steve Austin might just have another can of whoop-ass to open.

During an appearance on the Brewbound PodcastStone Cold Steve Austin spoke about how he’s feeling physically after competing against Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38. Austin said that he feels great after the contest with Owens and spoke about how he appreciated being able to include El Segundo Brewing Company in the show.

Asked about what his status would be moving forward, Austin went as far as saying he would return for WrestleMania 39 in some capacity but pointed out that it’s not his call to make.

“Well, you know… for me to participate in WrestleMania 38 — if you would’ve told me, ‘Hey man, you’re gonna be a part of WrestleMania 38. Not only that, you’re gonna main event night one,’ I would’ve said you’re full of sh-t and you’re crazy. And there I was in Dallas, Texas, headlining, main event on day one so, never say never,” Austin noted, “but I would really imagine that within the scope of that show, that’s gonna be a big show in a big-time city and it’ll be a two-night event again. So, I’m sure I’m done ‘wrestling’ per se, but as a part of WWE, I can’t imagine that I would not be there in some capacity. I’m not saying — I’m not booking myself on the show because I didn’t book myself on 38. That’s a Vince [McMahon] thing and I have a great relationship with him and if I get the call, I’ll be there.”

Pat McAfee recently reflected on his interaction with Austin at WrestleMania and spoke about how the Stunner he took was not scripted. Read more about McAfee feeling like WWE put a lot of trust in him to be able to react to the improvisation at this link.
