WWE SmackDown Viewership Drops To Lowest Number Since July 2021 On 4/22, Demo Rating Also Decreases

WWE SmackDown viewership dropped to a new 2022 low on April 22.

According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, 1.952 million viewers watched the show on Friday, and the show scored a 0.47 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. These numbers are down from last week, when 2.142 million viewers watched the show and it drew a 0.48 (623,000 viewers) in the same demographic.

Thurston noted that the April 22 numbers were SmackDown’s lowest since July 2.

Coverage of the NBA playoffs dominated TV on April 22. Citing Showbuzz Daily, Thurston noted that SmackDown ranked fifth in the demo on Friday, and it was the most-watched show that didn’t air on ESPN.

This week’s episode featured a contract signing between Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair. Plus, Drew McIntyre faced Sami Zayn, Riddle took on Jey Uso, and Xavier Woods battled Butch.
