In-Ring Segment: Cody Rhodes
Rhodes notes that he was told Seth Rollins isn’t here. He hopes that Rollins is at home listening. Rhodes says he tried to move forward last week. Rollins couldn’t let it go so he attacked him last week. After he stomped Rhodes, he said he won’t let Rhodes take anything else from him. Rhodes tells the story of watching Rollins debut in eventually winning his way to the top. Rhodes’ personal story is very different. Rhodes didn’t win. He lost a lot. He painted his face and smile and ended up looking up at the lights most nights. Through that, Rhodes endured and learned so much. The number one thing he learned is he is never gonna be the American Dream, so why not embrace the nightmare?
You could say he lost his way to the top. Rollins’ embarrassment over losing two matches, doesn’t outway Rhodes’ journey on his second chance. To stop Rhodes, Rollins is going to have to kill him. He’s going to give Rollins the chance. Rhodes wants a Hell in a Cell match. Rollins appears on the ‘Tron, laughing like an idiot. Rollins complains about his perceived slights from Rhodes. Anyone who has ever set foot in a cell with Rollins has been changed forever. Rollins accepts. Rhodes tells Rollins he will see him in hell.
Backstage, Asuka says Becky Lynch cries like a baby. Tonight she is going to give her a reason to cry. Graves notes that Naomi and Sasha Banks left the building in an unprofessional manner so now this match with Lynch and Asuka will happen tonight.
