WWE SmackDown Results (5/27/22)

The KO Show with Kevin Owens

The broadcast team says Owens’ guest will be a member of The Bloodline. After a commercial, Owens says he’s here for one reason, as he’s been seeking the truth about Ezekiel. He vows to make “Elias” regret showing his beardless face in WWE at Hell in a Cell. He welcomes Sami Zayn as his guest. Owens and Zayn hug and say they’re happy to see each other. Zayn references their previous feud, and Owens says he doesn’t even remember what it was about. They compliment each other and what they’ve been doing lately. Zayn says Elias and Ezekiel are clearly the same person.

Owens says he needs Zayn to drop what he’s doing on SmackDown, come to RAW and help him deal with the liars, starting with Elias. Zayn tells Owens that SmackDown needs him, so it’s not a good time. Zayn calls him “Uce”, a nod to The Usos. Owens says Zayn is naïve because he’s not in The Bloodline, and he says the way he has been acting makes him look like a moron. Zayn says Elias and Ezekiel are clearly two different people. He asks, “Who’s the moron?” Owens fires back by saying Zayn is a moron, and Zayn calls him a liar. He gets upset when Zayn says “liar, liar, pants on fire” because his pants aren’t on fire. Owen notes that The Bloodline abandoned Zayn on Monday, and wonders if they’ll do it again. He calls them out, and they don’t answer. He says The Bloodline doesn’t care about Zayn, who then says he doesn’t know what he’s talking about before he walks away.

Owens goes after him, and Zayn shoves him before he tells him to go back to RAW.

Owens then drops two members of the ring crew with Stunners.

Ricochet and Drew Gulak vs. GUNTHER and Ludwig Kaiser

Kaiser and Gulak start the match. GUNTHER blasts Gulak with a big boot when the referee isn’t looking. “The Ring General” tags in and throws Gulak out of the ring. The powerhouse keeps dominating Gulak and blasts him with a chop. Gulak counters a slam and tags Ricochet, who enters the match with a flurry of offense. He hits a springboard crossbody on Kaiser. GUNTHER distracts Ricochet, and Kaiser rolls him up for a two count. Gulak tags in, and Kaiser dumps Ricochet out of the ring. Kaiser plants Gulak with a butterfly suplex and hits a running kick for the win.

Winners: GUNTHER and Ludwig Kaiser

After the match, GUNTHER and Kaiser attack Ricochet and Gulak.

Backstage, Sami Zayn asks The Usos what they think of him. He asks if he could be an honorary member of The Bloodline, and Jimmy says he can be an honorary Uce. Zayn says if they need anything, he has their back.

Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and TBA vs. The Brawling Brutes (Butch, Sheamus, and Ridge Holland)

Before the match, Sheamus says it doesn’t matter who Woods and Kingston bring out because they’ll get beaten just the same. He says “New Day sucks” before Woods and Kingston come to the stage. They say they found a true freak of nature to be their tag team partner, and it’s Drew McIntyre.

Butch begins the match with Woods. The former King of the Ring drops Butch with a neckbreaker. Kingston tags in and double-teams Butch with Woods. Sheamus and Butch blast Woods with some chops. Kingston rallies, and The New Day gains the upper hand. Woods sends Butch to the outside and tags McIntyre. “The Scottish Warrior” stomps Holland and hits Butch. Butch gains the upper hand, and the Brawling Brutes isolate Kingston. Holland stops McIntyre from tagging in and slams him into the stairs.

Sheamus gets a two count with an Alabama Slam. McIntyre tags in and clears house. He overwhelms Holland with a flurry of offense and throws Butch across the ring. Kingston dives onto Sheamus outside the ring. McIntyre and Holland are left alone, and McIntyre hits the Claymore. He tags Woods, who hits the diving elbow for the win.
