Jake Crist Demands Payment From IWA Mid-South, Promotion Cancels All Future Shows

Jake Crist wants his money, and he wants it now.

The former IMPACT X-Division Champion revealed in a video posted to Twitter that Ian Rotten of IWA Mid-South Wrestling has not paid him in nearly a month.

“Ian Rotten, I’ve given you three and a half, almost four weeks now, it’s probably been four weeks! I’ve given you a f*cking month to give me my money. Now that you’ve burnt this bridge, I think I have a little burning to do myself.”

Jake Crist proceeded to set fire to his IWA World Championship and IWA Mid-South World Junior Heavyweight Championship, both of which he currently holds.

John Wayne Murdoch and Satu Jinn both took to Twitter to announce they will no longer be associated with IWA Mid-South.

Tuesday afternoon, the official IWA Mid-South Wrestling Facebook page put out a brief statement that read, “All shows moving forward are cancelled.” It remains to be seen what the future will hold for the promotion or if their talent will receive their pay.

Unfortunately, this is not the first incident involving Ian Rotten and pay disputes. Jeff Jarrett had a notable falling out in 2014 where he was accused of getting physical with Rotten and his son over payment.
