AEW Rampage Results (6/17/22): Jon Moxley, Jade Cargill And More

All Elite Wrestling kicked off June with a star-studded episode of AEW Rampage on June 17.

In a huge bout, Jon Moxley and Dante Martin are set to go head-to-head in a singles match. Elsewhere, Jade Cargill will defend her TBS Championship against Willow Nightingale, and Max Caster and the Gunn Clubb will team up to take on Bear Country and Leon Ruff in a six-man tag team match.

The results are as follows:

Match 1: Jon Moxley def. Dante Martin via submission

With a match against Hiroshi Tanahashi on the horizon for Moxley, he got in a great tune up against an opponent in Martin who was not going to make things easy for the superstar.  Towards the end of the match, Martin almost walked out with a win after hitting a huge splash on Moxley, but Jon was able to drop Martin and hammer him with elbows before wrapping him up into a submission and forcing his opponent to tap out.

Match 2: Max Caster & Gunn Club def. Bear Country & Leon Ruffin via pinfall

In a surprisingly quick bout, it was Max Caster and his typical high-energy antic that helped his team walk out with a win. Towards the end of the match, Caster dropped Ruffin with an elbow drop and almost immediately came away with a win.

Match 3: Jade Cargill (c) def. Willow Nightingale via pinfall – TBS Championship

In a relatively quick match, Jade Cargill made short work of her opponent. The reigning TBS Champion made extremely short work of Nightingale, with the help of Kiera Hogan, who was ringside for the match and agitating Nightingale throughout most of it. In the end, it was Cargill who hit the Jaded on Nightingale for the quick win.

Following the match, Hogan began assaulting Nightingale, before Athena showed up and took out Hogan. However, this allowed Cargill to attack Athena, but before things could get any crazier and Cargill could land the Jaded on Athena, Kris Statlander came running down to make the save and break everything up.

Match 4: Darby Allin def. Bobby Fish via pinfall

In a fantastic finale, Darby Allin continued his stellar streak in AEW, taking down Bobby Fish thanks to some last-minute heroics and a big move. Late in the match, Fish was able to hit an avalanche falcon arrow on Allin, but the superstar kicked out at the very last second. After countering an ankle grab from Fish, Allin then hit the Last Supper for the win.

After the match, Fish began an assault on Allin. He then called out Kyle O’Reilly to come down to the ring to help beat up Allin. O’Reilly made his way down with a chair, but the lights went out, and as they came back on, Sting was there, returned to the world of All Elite Wrestling. He landed a nasty lowblow to O’Reilly with his signature baseball bat before taking the chair and using it to attack Fishs’ leg, which he trapped in the chair before Pillmanizing it with a Coffin Drop on it to close out the night.
