Alexa Bliss On Working With Bray Wyatt: He’s Brilliant, It Made Me Want To Step My Game Up

Alexa Bliss has experienced many character evolutions in her WWE career.

Prior to her on-screen return this year, Bliss predominantly worked with The Fiend (aka Bray Wyatt). There, Bliss would throw fireballs, play on Alexa’s playground, and captivate the audience with her darker character. In speaking on Out of Character with Ryan Satin, the former RAW Women’s Champion opened up about her time working with The Fiend.

“Working with The Fiend, with Windham [Bray Wyatt], was the most fun I’ve ever had in my entire WWE career. He is so brilliant with his creativity and he puts so much effort into his character, so much research. It made me want to step my game up, 100%, being like, ‘He puts this much thought into his character, I need to put twice as much thought into mine.’

“When you step into someone else’s kind of gimmick, you don’t want to bring it down. You only want to elevate it. I put in so much effort into that and protecting the character and protecting when we did the Firefly Fun House and it was so fun. It’s very sad that we don’t work together anymore because it was so much fun and I think the WWE Universe saw how much fun we were having.”

Bray Wyatt was released from WWE last summer and has not made any on-screen appearances in any company since. In his absence, Alexa Bliss yet again transformed into a new version of herself after undergoing therapy on RAW earlier this year. Most recently, Bliss competed in the 2022 Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.

Alexa Bliss also shared how pop culture inspired her character; read more about the children’s show that influenced her Dark Alexa character at this link.
