New Japan Pro-Wrestling is loading up the card for its “Music City Mayhem” show on July 30.
In a tweet on July 8, the company announced that Blake Christian will face Hiromu Takahashi at the show. Plus, Davey Richards will battle Clark Connors.

Blake Christian vs. Hiromu Takahashi
Hiromu Takahashi battles Blake Christian in a first time ever one on one matchup. Much like contemporary, friend and rival Alex Zayne, Blake Christian made big waves on the independents and then NJPW STRONG before heading for a brief sojourn in WWE and now re-establishing himself in the US. Zayne would get his big break in Japan during the Best of the Super Jr. tour, and left a distinct impression on Hiromu during a clash in Chiba. Now that the Time Bomb is making his return to the US for the first time in over four years, he’ll be looking to push the impressive ‘All Heart’ to his limits.
Davey Richards vs. Clark Connors
Another phenomenal first time matchup sees Clark Connors do battle with Davey Richards. The American Wolf has not been seen in a NJPW ring for well over a decade, and his No Remorse Corps tag team with Rocky Romero that saw him to two IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships. With no nonsense attitudes when the bell rings, and stylistic comparisons to the likes of the late Dynamite Kid being applied to both men over the years, this is a phenomenal match on paper, and in practice is highly unlikely to disappoint.
