Killer Kelly: I’ve Been Under Contract With IMPACT Wrestling Since 2020

Killer Kelly hasn’t wrestled in an IMPACT Wrestling ring since 2020, but she says she’s been under contract the whole time.

Kelly made her IMPACT debut in November 2020 as she competed in the Knockouts Tag Team Title Tournament. She later announced that she would be stepping away from wrestling to focus on her health. During the July 7 episode of IMPACT Wrestling, the company teased Kelly’s looming return with a vignette.

In an interview with Steve Fall of SEScoops, Kelly stated that the company signed her when she previously wrestled for the promotion.

“It was exactly on that day, on that same day that I wrestled, I got offered a deal,” said Kelly. “So I’ve been contracted for the past two years.”

When asked about her lengthy absence, Kelly described how she has been dealing with visa issues, and IMPACT has helped her throughout the process.

“You have to ask the good-old United States of America,” said Kelly. “It’s legalities, legalities, legalities. It was a very tedious process, which IMPACT dealt with wonderfully. They took care of everything, but it was a horrible process. They were wonderful about it. After they offered the contract, I had to go back to Portugal and then I was stuck in Portugal.

“And they did everything in their power to get me out of Portugal, and yeah, it was a visa process that started in Portugal, and then it didn’t pan out. Then I had to come to the United States and start all over again. It was a whole process, but finally I can say that I’m part of IMPACT, and I can finally work, and yeah, I’m very excited.”

Kelly also noted that she has been dealing with severe anxiety and depression, and she also been diagnosed with ADHD, but she found help for these battles.
