AJ Francis & Frankie Kazarian vs. Moose & Elijah
- Elijah is on the top rope when Expressions trips him as Kazarian distracts the referee. The distraction allows Francis to capitalize, hitting the Cash Out on Elijah for the victory.
Winners: AJ Francis and Frankie Kazarian
Expressions sets Elijah up for a guitar shot to the head, but Moose snatches the guitar away and stuns him with a headbutt. The opening allows Elijah to hit a Tombstone Piledriver as Francis fumes on the outside.
Grade: B-
Entertaining tag team opener. Francis showed some creativity with his finisher, which is something often missing in modern pro wrestling. Expressions got what was coming to him after costing Moose and Elijah the match with his interference.
Elayna Black vs. Wendy Choo – Knockouts TV Title Tournament
- Choo catches Black with a neckbreaker and goes for the cover, but Black kicks out. Black responds with a flurry of back elbows before planting Choo with a belly-to-belly suplex. The two then trade forearm strikes until Choo scores with a superplex. Before either woman can capitalize, the bell rings, signaling that the time limit has expired and the match ends in a draw.
After the match, Xia Brookside blindsides Black, sending her crashing into the ring steps. Choo checks on Black, only for Brookside to strike her from behind with a forearm to the back before standing tall with the Knockouts World Championship. It is then announced that, because Black and Choo fought to a time-limit draw, neither woman advances to the quarterfinals, and M By Elegance receives an automatic bye into the semifinals.
Grade: A-
This might be the best match of the Knockouts TV Title Tournament so far. Wendy Choo showed she can really deliver inside the ring, and it’s a shame she spent so much time stuck in WWE developmental without getting the opportunity to showcase her abilities consistently.
Elayna Black also played her role perfectly, making the match feel competitive from start to finish. The time-limit draw was an unexpected finish, but it was the right call as it protected both competitors.
Choo has the talent to make a bigger impact, and a move to TNA could give her the platform she needs to truly showcase what she can do, especially if WWE no longer has plans to feature her prominently.
In-Ring Segment ft. The System, Ricky Sosa, and Leon Slater
The System heads to the ring for a promo before Eddie Edwards says people may come and go in TNA, but one thing never changes: the dominance of The System. He calls the group the “gatekeepers” and “quality control” of TNA Wrestling, insisting anyone who wants to succeed must go through them.
Bear Bronson boasts that he didn’t just beat Ricky Sosa last week on TNA iMPACT, he decimated him, dismissing rising stars as nothing more than passing fads while calling himself a killer. Cedric Alexander echoes Edwards’ comments, saying The System decides who survives in TNA and points to names like Leon Slater and Fabian Aichner as examples.
Edwards then turns his attention to the Knockouts TV Championship Tournament, saying Alisha Edwards will add more gold to The System later tonight. He warns Jada Stone that she will suffer the same fate as Ricky Sosa, predicting she will leave beaten and embarrassed.
Ricky Sosa shows up and admits Bear Bronson beat him last week, but says losses are part of the business. While acknowledging he’s still new to TNA, Sosa vows that “The Young Savage” can’t be kept down and argues he only lost because Brian Myers interfered on Bronson’s behalf.
Eddie Edwards fires back, reminding Sosa that he rejected an offer to join The System. Edwards says Sosa turned down the protection and brotherhood the group offered and now has no one watching his back, claiming nobody cares what happens to him.
Leon Slater interrupts and calls out The System for constantly inserting themselves into everyone else’s business. Slater says the group has targeted him for the past two years and is now doing the same to Ricky Sosa, making it clear Sosa is not alone because he has his back.
Slater agrees with Sosa that The System can’t win without outside help, accusing Cedric Alexander of costing him his match against Eddie Edwards. Noticing that both teams are already in their wrestling gear, Slater challenges Edwards and Bear Bronson to an impromptu tag team match.
Edwards declines, saying he’ll speak with Daria Rae to make the match official for next week’s episode in Philadelphia. Slater then calls on Santino Marella to make the bout happen anywhere, joking it could take place in Albany, Philadelphia, Pluto, Mars, or Jupiter. He vows that whenever the match happens, he and Sosa will take down The System before the duo ends the segment with their signature, “Bang! Bang!”
Mustafa Ali’s Next Challenger Announced On TNA iMPACT
Daria Rae announces that Jason Hotch has won the locker room vote to become the number one contender for the International Championship, leaving Mustafa Ali stunned as The Great Hands and Tasha Steelz celebrate. Daria exits the frame, but Ali insists the result is nothing more than a prank the locker room is playing on Hotch.
Ali sarcastically blames Nic Nemeth for orchestrating the vote and orders Hotch to chase down Daria so the result can be overturned and the vote redone. A hesitant Hotch tries to respond, but Ali cuts him off and repeatedly orders him to leave. After Hotch exits the frame, Ali says they need to find a “real” number one contender.
The Hardys vs. The Righteous – Righteous Deletion
Vincent and Dutch arrive at The Hardy Compound at night, walking through the gates as Vincent declares that everything is better with a little sunshine. He snaps his fingers, transforming the surroundings into daytime and awakening “Broken” Matt Hardy, who senses the arrival of The Righteous.
The Righteous explore the compound before a young girl announces that The Hardys are coming. “Broken” Matt and Brother Nero begin searching for Vincent and Dutch, eventually finding them inside a wooden structure. The Righteous enter a room filled with blue lights, with Dutch claiming they have discovered a revelation rather than a miracle from The Hardys. After touching the lights, they are transported to another area of the compound where The Broken Hardys await.
The two teams immediately brawl, with Matt Hardy and Vincent trading blows while Brother Nero battles Dutch. Vincent drops Matt with a right hand, but Matt vows that Dutch must be deleted. Dutch sends Matt crashing face-first into a “dilapedated boat” before Jeff goes after him. Vincent then takes out both Hardys with a shovel shot to the midsection.
The Righteous charge at The Broken Hardys, but Matt and Jeff teleport away, leaving Vincent and Dutch laughing before they snap their fingers and transport everyone to a ring inside the compound.
A referee appears as the match officially begins. Vincent and Brother Nero trade strikes while Matt and Dutch battle in the ring. Dutch lands a devastating open-hand strike on Matt and sends him face-first into the canvas before teaming with Vincent to isolate him. Jeff blindsides Vincent, allowing Matt to hit a Twist of Fate.
Dutch fights back, but The Broken Hardys hit him with a double suplex. Matt delivers another Twist of Fate and goes for the pin, but Dutch kicks out. The fight spills outside the ring, with both teams continuing their chaotic battle.
After the break, Vincent and Brother Nero continue fighting around the compound at night. The Hardys’ history is explored through surreal imagery, including Jeff playing guitar while Vincent and Dutch examine photos and memorabilia from The Hardys’ legendary career.
Matt and Dutch continue their fight throughout the compound, with Dutch eventually sending Matt into a pool while Reby Hardy plays piano nearby. The two teams later gather around a campfire, reflecting on their bizarre rivalry.
The surreal journey continues when Dr. Wolfie tells Dutch that Vincent is finished and that Dutch himself is obsolete. Dutch awakens to find Vincent lying in a casket before the nightmare escalates, with Vincent poisoning his tag team partner with the Lily of the Valley.
The Righteous Deletion continues with Matt’s family joining the attack. Reby Hardy delivers a Twist of Fate, while Matt’s daughter throws red shards at Dutch in a nod to Stranger Things.
Dutch wakes from the nightmare only to encounter Jeff’s alter ego “Willow,” who attacks him before he awakens again in the pool. Vincent and Jeff are still battling outside as Vincent declares that The Righteous know one thing about The Hardy Compound: it has beautiful fireworks.
Matt and Jeff double-team Vincent before Dutch arrives to help. The two teams grab fireworks and fire them at one another, but the chaos takes another turn when Matt begins foaming at the mouth as The Righteous laugh.
Vincent and Dutch dump The Broken Hardys into the Lake of Reincarnation, only for new versions of Matt and Jeff to emerge. Jeff reveals his “Antichrist” persona before joining forces with Matt to fight back.
In the final sequence, Dutch is placed on two stacked tables as Jeff climbs onto a bulldozer and delivers a Swanton Bomb through him. Jeff covers Dutch for the victory.
After the match, “Broken” Matt declares that The Righteous have been deleted. Matt and Brother Nero then throw Vincent and Dutch into the Lake of Reincarnation, cleansing them as they proclaim that The Hardys are “forever and then some.”

Leon Slater Tells Jason Hotch To Step Up
Jason Hotch approaches Daria Rae’s office when he is stopped by Leon Slater, who questions what he’s doing there. Hotch says Mustafa Ali told him the locker room vote was closed, but Slater tells him not to listen to Ali and says he needs to see what’s really happening.
Slater tells Hotch that Ali has been using him and that the vote was no joke. He reveals that he voted for Hotch because everyone in the locker room sees that it is his time to step up.
Slater encourages Hotch not to let Ali get inside his head, telling him that the only person standing in his way is himself. Hotch thanks Slater for the support before answering a phone call, telling the person on the other end that he’s glad they called.
Jada Stone vs. Alisha Edwards – Knockouts TV Title Tournament
- Alisha Edwards rocks Jada Stone with a slap and charges for a running attack, but Jada counters with a superkick. Jada sets up for her finisher, only for Eddie Edwards to intervene and create an opening for his wife. Alisha attempts to capitalize, but Jada counters with a roll-up to score the victory.
Winner: Jada Stone
Jada’s celebration is short-lived, as Alisha attacks her from behind after the bell. However, Jada fights back and sends Alisha into the ropes before Eddie pulls his wife to safety. The System retreats as Jada stands tall to close the segment.
Grade: C+
Nothing too remarkable from the match itself, aside from Eddie Edwards’ constant shenanigans as he tried to help his “ride or die” secure the victory. However, his interference attempts backfired, allowing Jada Stone to pick up the win and advance to the next round of the Knockouts TV Championship Tournament.
Next Week On TNA iMPACT…
Mustafa Ali asks Jason Hotch if he completed the task he assigned him earlier. Hotch admits he didn’t, explaining that he ran into Leon Slater, who changed his perspective and made him realize the locker room vote was legitimate.
Ali immediately dismisses Slater’s influence and demands to know why Hotch ignored his instructions. Hotch says he understands Ali’s point, but after speaking with his wife and reflecting on everything he has endured, he believes he deserves this opportunity.
Hotch tells Ali that his motivation is not just about himself, but about providing for his wife, daughter, and family. He says they have struggled together and that he wants to bring them to the top with him. With that, Hotch respectfully tells Ali he’ll see him next week and walks away, leaving Ali stunned.
Nic Nemeth (c) vs. KC Navarro – TNA World Championship
- Navarro goes for a Blessing in Disguise, but Nemeth counters and connects with the Danger Zone for the victory.
Winner and still TNA World Champion: Nic Nemeth
Grade: B+
Great performance by Navarro, who showcased his resilience throughout the match. The unexpected superkick early on caught Nemeth off guard and rocked the TNA World Champion. However, the Wanted Man proved once again why he reigns supreme, overcoming the challenge to retain his dominance.
Overall Grade: B-
Another solid episode of TNA iMPACT as we move closer to Lockdown. The show had several strong moments, especially the continued build toward the International Championship match and the Knockouts TV Title Tournament.
First, I enjoyed the concept of the TNA roster voting to determine Mustafa Ali’s next challenger for the International Championship. It appears TNA is finally giving Jason Hotch the opportunity to step out as a singles competitor and showcase what he can do on his own. With next week’s episode being live, I have a strong feeling Hotch could pull off the upset and defeat Mustafa Ali for the International Championship.
Elayna Black vs. Wendy Choo was easily my pick for the best match of the Knockouts TV Title Tournament so far. Choo proved she can deliver at a high level inside the ring, and hopefully this performance convinces WWE creative to come up with better plans for the former EVOLVE Women’s Champion.
Unfortunately, not everything clicked on this episode. I wasn’t a fan of The System’s segment involving Ricky Sosa and Leon Slater, and the second Knockouts TV Title Tournament match of the night also failed to leave much of an impression.
Speaking of underwhelming moments, I don’t think TNA was able to recreate the magic of Hardy vs. Hardy with the Righteous Deletion cinematic match. The latest cinematic encounter had its share of memorable moments, including the entire Matt Hardy family appearing to take out The Righteous and Jeff Hardy once again delivering an incredible Swanton Bomb. However, the overall presentation felt underwhelming compared to the original. A rewatch could change my opinion, but my first impression was that it didn’t reach the same level.
The TNA World Championship main event was a solid encounter, with KC Navarro taking Nic Nemeth to the limit before The Wanted Man retained the title with the Danger Zone.
