Vickie Guerrero: Marina Shafir Is A Good ‘Problem’ To Have In AEW

Vickie Guerrero sees gold in the future for Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir.

Vickie Guerrero was on hand at Starrcast V weekend for Ric Flair’s Last Match and she spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard about her current role in All Elite Wrestling. Vickie is the manager for Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir, and the former recently said that she would like to be a manager later on in her career because of Vickie. Asked how she feels to have that kind of influence, Guerrero said that teaching and inspiring others is why she is there in the first place.

“I get humbled by that because I love Nyla. And I love everything that she stands for. To be able for her to say that she wants to be me later on. I just want to spread my knowledge and experience with all the other talents. It’s a great experience and to know that I can be an influence on someone else,” Guerrero noted, “that’s why I’m here. That’s what it’s all about, to share the knowledge and grow other talents to be where they are today.”

Nyla Rose has a big personality and impeccable social media game, while Marina Shafir is a bit more reserved in contrast. Asked how she would describe the dynamic Shafir adds, Guerrero said that she’s a ‘Problem’ she welcomes to the fold.

“I welcome a problem into my stable. For Nyla to be the Beast and for [Marina] to be the Burden,” Guerrero explained, “I think that they’re gonna complement each other in the ring. And the pairing happened organically, so by us building from that and to have her talent and strength and her experience and all the judo and MMA fighting, and with Nyla’s experience, I think we’re going to maybe see a title down the road.”

Asked what’s next for the group in AEW, Vickie Guerrero said that there’s some good storylines in the works, but it was something fans would just have to wait and see on TV.

“We’re writing some good stuff for storylines. We’re excited about what’s going to happen later on in the year. I can’t say anything because I don’t want to let anything out of the bag.”
