Mickie James To Return At IMPACT Wrestling Lone Star Stampede, Tag Title Match Also Announced

Mickie James will return at IMPACT Wrestling Lone Star Stampede.

IMPACT officially confirmed that the former Knockouts World Champion will appear at the tapings on August 26, which will be held at The Factory in Dallas, Texas, and she will make an announcement. James hasn’t been seen on IMPACT Wrestling for a number of weeks; she last wrestled on the July 14 episode, where she lost to Chelsea Green. The veteran recently tweeted that she feels like she’s done in wrestling, but in an interview, she stated that she’ll always be involved in the business.

Elsewhere on the show, Matt Taven and Mike Bennett will challenge The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows) for the IMPACT World Tag Team Championship. The duos won the right to challenge for the gold when Honor No More beat Bullet Club at IMPACT Emergence on August 12. Taven and Bennett are former tag team champions in NJPW and ROH, and they currently hold The Wrestling REVOLVER Tag Team Championship.

Additionally, Deonna Purrazzo will clash with Masha Slamovich in a singles bout, and The Good Brothers will battle The Motor City Machine Guns on the second night of the tapings.

  • IMPACT World Tag Team Championship: The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson) (c) vs. Matt Taven and Mike Bennett
