John Morrison Got Over His WWE Release In 30 Seconds, Comments On A Potential Return

John Morrison isn’t rushing back to WWE right now, but he’s open to the idea if it makes sense down the line.

Former WWE Superstar John Morrison recently sat down with Steve Fall of NBC Sports to discuss a wide variety of topics. When asked about the possibility of him returning to the company with the new regime in place, Morrison didn’t rule it out.

“I will not run off before September 3. But you’re right. There’s a crazy shift going on right now in the wrestling world,” John Morrison said. “And I don’t know exactly what that means for me, but for pro wrestlers out there like me who are unsigned, it means opportunity. And where? I don’t know. When? I also don’t know.

“I think sometimes, like with Kross and Dexter Lumis, like seeing him knowing the time was right, and I think they made the right move. And sometimes it’s better to wait and sometimes it’s better to go to the other place. It just depends on who you are and what your style is and figuring all that out. I think that’s what most pro wrestlers do. You spend your career trying to figure things out.”

When asked why his feud with The Miz never took off after he was turned on, Morrison revealed that was the plan, but certain issues prevented that from happening.

“We were going to feud, but he missed a couple of RAW before he left for Dancing with the Stars. So that never happened. I don’t know if the reason for that is public, but that never happened. And that’s why I was left in limbo. And then — anyway, I don’t want to get into it. The thing about it is, after Taya was gone. I didn’t want to be there anymore. And when I heard I was gonna be released, I went through like all the eight steps of grief or ten however many in 30 seconds, like from surprise, to shock, to regret, to Okay.”
