Women’s Tag Team Title Match Set For WWE NXT Worlds Collide

NXT Worlds Collide will feature two stars from WWE RAW.

NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Katana Chance and Kayden Carter celebrated a win over Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley on the August 30 episode of NXT 2.0 by declaring that they’ve defeated everyone they’ve competed against. They were about to announce they would hold a block party at Worlds Collide until they were met by two surprising challengers.

Doudrop and Nikki A.S.H. returned to NXT and challenged Chance and Carter to a title match at NXT Worlds Collide this Sunday. The four shook hands to set the stage. The broadcast team subsequently announced that the bout had been confirmed for the show.

Carter and Chance won the titles when they emerged victorious in a four-way match for the gold on the August 2 episode of NXT 2.0.

Doudrop was once featured in NXT UK as Piper Niven, while her fellow Scottish native in Nikki A.S.H. joined WWE before NXT UK became its own brand. The two were recent competitors in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament, but they came up short; Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah won the tournament.

Below is the updated NXT Worlds Collide lineup for Sunday:

  • Unification Match: NXT Champion Bron Breakker vs. NXT UK Champion Tyler Bare
  • Unification Match: NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose vs. NXT UK Champion Meiko Satomura vs. Blair Davenport
  • NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship: Katana Chance & Kayden Carter vs. Doudrop & Nikki A.S.H.
